Last Updated: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Navien, Inc. ("Navien," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit or use NavienPartners.com, including the Navien Partners Portal, account registration pages, sign-in pages, contractor application features, business profile tools, NavienRewards single sign-on links, and related portal services (collectively, the "Portal").
This Privacy Policy applies to contractors, installers, service providers, Navien Service Specialists, HVAC Partners, NavienRewards users, applicants, business contacts, and other individuals who access or use the Portal. This Privacy Policy supplements Navien's main Privacy Policy available at https://www.navieninc.com/privacy.
Depending on how you use the Portal, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
We do not intend for users to submit sensitive personal information through the Portal except where specifically requested for credential verification, account security, program eligibility, legal compliance, or another stated purpose.
We collect personal information directly from you when you request access, create an account, sign in, update your profile, submit program applications, provide trade license or credential information, link to NavienRewards, communicate with us, or otherwise use the Portal.
We may also collect information automatically when you use the Portal, including through cookies, server logs, authentication systems, account security tools, fraud prevention tools, and, if enabled, analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4.
We may receive information from Navien affiliates, service providers, program administrators, training systems, NavienRewards systems, contractors, distributors, field personnel, or other sources used to verify account status, credential information, training completion, program eligibility, rewards access, or Installer Locator participation.
We use personal information for the following purposes:
The Portal may collect and process contractor, installer, business, and professional credential information to determine account eligibility, program participation, service provider status, training completion, license status, and eligibility for publication through Navien's Installer Locator or similar tools.
Credential information may include trade license information, business information, professional role, service area, training records, program participation records, and other information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, professional relationship with Navien, or eligibility for a specific Navien program.
Navien may use internal teams, affiliates, service providers, program administrators, or other business partners to review, validate, maintain, or update credential and eligibility information.
If you participate in a Navien contractor, installer, service provider, Navien Service Specialist, HVAC Partner, or similar program, certain business profile information may be displayed to homeowners, consumers, or other users through Navien's public Installer Locator or similar tools on NavienInc.com or other Navien websites.
The information displayed may include your company name, business contact information, business location, service area, contractor designation, program status, service provider designation, and other information relevant to helping users identify and contact eligible contractors or installers.
By applying for or participating in a program that includes Installer Locator visibility, you acknowledge that eligible business profile information may be made publicly available after Navien reviews and verifies applicable requirements.
If you believe your public profile information is inaccurate or should be updated, you may contact Navien using the contact information below.
The Portal may allow users to access NavienRewards or related Navien systems through single sign-on, account linking, or redirect functionality. We may process account identifiers, email addresses, user status, authentication tokens, redirect information, and related technical information to facilitate access between the Portal and NavienRewards or other Navien-affiliated systems.
NavienRewards may have separate terms, privacy disclosures, program rules, or eligibility requirements. Please review any applicable NavienRewards disclosures when accessing that service.
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate the Portal, authenticate users, maintain sessions, secure accounts, prevent fraud, and provide requested Portal functionality.
If Google Analytics 4 or similar analytics tools are enabled on the Portal, we may use those tools to collect Portal usage and interaction information, such as pages viewed, links clicked, feature engagement, application funnel activity, session information, device information, and other usage metrics. We use this information to understand how users interact with the Portal, improve Portal functionality, diagnose issues, and measure the effectiveness of Portal features.
Where required by applicable law, non-essential analytics cookies or tracking technologies will not be activated unless you provide consent through our cookie banner or preference tool. You may manage your cookie preferences through the cookie banner or preference center.
Navien does not intend to pass plaintext email addresses, usernames, passwords, trade license numbers, account credentials, professional credential information, or other directly identifying contractor information into analytics URL strings, page titles, event names, custom dimensions, custom metrics, or event parameters. We periodically review our analytics implementation to reduce the risk that personal information is inadvertently transmitted to analytics providers.
If Navien removes Google Analytics 4 and does not use other non-essential analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking technologies on the Portal, the Portal may operate using only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies required for authentication, account security, session management, fraud prevention, and requested Portal functionality. In that case, a cookie consent banner may not be required for the Portal domain, but necessary cookies, server logs, and security logging may still be used and disclosed in this Privacy Policy.
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:
Navien does not sell Portal personal information for money.
If analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies are enabled on the Portal, some disclosures may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or processing for "targeted advertising" under certain privacy laws, depending on the technology used, the jurisdiction, and the applicable legal definition. Where required by applicable law, we will provide applicable notice, consent, or opt-out mechanisms.
If GA4 is used only for internal analytics and is configured not to transmit identifying contractor information, Navien does not intend to use the Portal to sell contractor account information or share contractor account information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Portal, administer contractor accounts, manage program participation, verify credentials, maintain training and program records, support NavienRewards access, publish or manage Installer Locator profiles, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Account, credential, license, training, program, locator, and NavienRewards-linking records may be retained for the duration of your participation in the applicable program and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal, audit, warranty, product safety, business, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Security logs, authentication records, and system access records may be retained for the period reasonably necessary to maintain security, investigate incidents, prevent fraud, and comply with legal or operational requirements.
When personal information is no longer required, we will delete, de-identify, anonymize, or otherwise handle it in accordance with applicable law and our retention practices.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, withdrawal of consent, or information about how we collect, use, disclose, sell, share, or otherwise process personal information. California residents, including individuals whose personal information is collected in a business-to-business, contractor, installer, or professional account context, may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. These rights may include the right to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. The prior California B2B exemption expired on January 1, 2023, so B2B and contractor personal information may be subject to California privacy rights where applicable. Colorado and Virginia privacy laws generally apply to residents acting in an individual or household context and generally do not apply to personal information processed solely in a commercial or contractor account context. However, Navien may consider privacy requests from professional account users as required by applicable law and consistent with its internal privacy practices.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through the Portal, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.
The Portal may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, tools, services, or programs, including NavienRewards or other Navien-affiliated systems that may have separate terms and privacy disclosures. Your use of third-party services may be governed by the privacy policies and terms of those third parties. We encourage you to review applicable privacy policies and terms before using third-party services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by applicable law, which may include posting an updated Privacy Policy on the Portal, updating the effective date, sending a notice, or providing another appropriate notice.
